Meet The Team

Andrea M. Flanagan is the founder and owner of Flanagan Law Group and a respected Des Moines–based attorney with a strong reputation in criminal defense and family law. A lifelong member of the community, Andrea earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and her Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law before being admitted to practice in 2004. Known for her no-nonsense, yet empathetic approach, she represents clients in matters ranging from serious criminal charges to complex family law cases. Andrea is deeply committed to professionalism, community involvement, and building a diverse legal team dedicated to achieving meaningful results for clients.​​​​

Jolie B. Juckette is a Des Moines–area native and experienced criminal defense attorney at Flanagan Law Group. She earned her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University before obtaining her Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School and being admitted to the Iowa Bar in 1999. Jolie’s practice focuses primarily on criminal defense, with additional experience in business law, estate planning, juvenile law, and legal research and writing. She is actively involved in the community, having served on advisory boards for several local service organizations, and is a member of the Iowa Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Iowa Association of Justice.

Kaleigh is an Iowa native raised in Waterloo who earned her undergraduate degree cum laude from the University of Northern Iowa before graduating with Honors from Drake University Law School in 2024. While at Drake, she served as a Note Editor for the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law, where her published Note received the 2024 Outstanding Note Honorable Mention, and she was a member of the ABA Moot Court Team. Kaleigh also earned Public Service and Social Justice & Public Interest Certificates and was inducted into the Order of Barristers, recognizing excellence in advocacy and legal writing.

Echoe was born and raised in Minnesota and earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from Hamline University. She later attended Drake University Law School, where she gained hands-on experience as a student attorney in the Criminal Defense Legal Clinic and studied international and comparative law in Nantes, France. Echoe received multiple honors for excellence in advocacy and client representation, including the CALI Award in Advanced Criminal Defense, and earned her Juris Doctor in 2025.

Sydney is a Family Law attorney at Flanagan Law Group. She earned her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Drake University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law. Sydney was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 2026. Sydney brings strong attention to detail and a client-focused approach to her cases.

Melissa specializes in probate and estate planning.

As Billing and Office Manager, Andrea oversees the firm’s billing operations and day-to-day administrative functions. Brandi is a Criminal Law Paralegal who supports the firm’s attorneys in all phases of criminal defense. She assists with case preparation, legal research, drafting motions, and client communication. With strong attention to detail and a commitment to client advocacy, Brandi plays a vital role in ensuring each case is handled efficiently and thoroughly.

Mindy is a Family Law Paralegal who supports attorneys in all aspects of family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and related proceedings. She assists with case management, legal research, and document preparation while maintaining a compassionate, client-focused approach. Mindy plays an important role in helping clients navigate complex and sensitive legal matters.

Elyse serves as a Family Law Paralegal, working closely with attorneys and clients throughout the family law process. She assists with drafting pleadings, organizing case files, and communicating with clients, helping ensure cases move forward efficiently while providing consistent support during emotionally challenging times.

Olivia is a Billing Associate who supports the firm’s billing operations by preparing invoices, maintaining billing records, and assisting with client account inquiries. With a strong attention to detail and accuracy, Olivia helps ensure timely and reliable billing processes while supporting both attorneys and clients.
